Coping with PTSD

Are You Living with PTSD?

In the United States, over eight million adults live with post-traumatic stress, and more than half of all people who have experienced a traumatic event have developed a disorder.

However, despite the prevalence of PTSD, many people still don’t know much about it.

In short, PTSD can develop after any event that makes you fear for your safety. Even if you don’t consider an experience to be “traumatic,” that doesn’t mean that you aren’t psychologically affected by the aftermath.

Post-traumatic stress disorder has always existed but wasn’t officially recognized by the American Psychiatric Association until 1980. This means that there are still many misconceptions about what it is, who is affected by it, and how to cope with it.

That’s why I’ve created Coping with PTSD, a webinar I’m hosting on Tuesday, December 28th at 8:00 pm EST to help share the facts about PTSD and help participants take the steps they need to feel better.
